If you ride just to find something good to eat, please help families just trying to find their next meal.
Ride for Pie stickers (pictured) were designed by Scott 'Bones' Williams to resemble an advisory road sign. They cost $5 each. Every dollar raised is donated to Not Bread Alone, a nonprofit program in Amherst, MA, where people prepare and enjoy family-style meals in a nurturing environment. Everyone is welcome.
The 2" x 2" stickers are highly reflective, adding an element of safety for riders. You'll find Ride for Pie stickers on motorcycles and helmets, plus cars, trucks, bicycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, trailers and more.
The Backstory
Several years ago, Bones wrote a feature article about food insecurity and an innovative program called Not Bread Alone. His visit to the program had a lasting impact. In particular, he liked that participants are invited to help prepare the meals, if they want to. Meals are shared family style with all who gather there for something good to eat.
"I thought about being fortunate enough to ride my motorcycle a long distance just to grab a slice of pie," Bones recalls. "And I'm hardly alone. So I decided to sell my Ride For Pie stickers to help folks who find themselves struggling just to feed their families. Every dollar I raise selling these stickers is donated directly to Not Bread Alone."
