Scott's writing emphasizes the excitement of motorcycling, intriguing sights, history and culture, and the personal encounters he has while on the road. Frequently he uses his platform to serve as an ambassador for the riding community, sharing stories about advanced rider education, donating motorcycle helmets for first-responder training, engaging with the non-motorcycling public, and channeling support from motorcyclists to worthwhile causes.

Scott has covered finance and investing, industrial technology, higher education, art, music, sports cars, brewing, and mental health. He has written executive speeches and bylines, organization profiles, guidance for college selection, investor education, white papers, employee communications, donor relations, and more. Clients across North America, Europe and Australia know him as Scott Williams, Wordsmith.

Scott has carried the moniker 'Bones' since childhood, owing to a slender build, which he retains. Friends from college, hockey, and motorcycling call him Bones. His nieces and nephews call him Uncle Bones. His parents named him Scott, but people all over call him Bones.
